Healthy Ordering Tips

  1. Go street-style. Street tacos (110–140 cal) deliver flavor for a fraction of the calories of loaded burritos.
  2. Watch the loaded items. Anything “loaded,” “deluxe” or “epic” can exceed 800–1,000 calories — fine occasionally, but know what you’re getting.
  3. Drinks add up. A regular soda adds ~300 calories; strawberry lemonade is only 45. Water and unsweetened tea are zero.
  4. Guac is your friend (in moderation). Fresh guacamole adds healthy fats — the Guac’d Up street taco is just 140 cal.
  5. Value menu can be light. The Snack Taco (120 cal) and Mini Cheddar Quesadilla (130 cal) are both light and cheap.

Vegetarian Nutrition

Vegetarian standouts: 8 Layer Veggie Burrito (540 cal, 18g protein), Bean & Cheese Burrito (500 cal, 24g protein), CrunchTada Tostada (350 cal, 13g protein). See the Vegetarian & Vegan page for the full list.

Sodium Note

Fast food is salty — many Del Taco items contain 1,000mg+ of sodium (the daily recommended limit is 2,300mg). Loaded and epic items are the highest; street tacos and plain items are the lowest.
